So this drink was delicious! I thought it was sort of odd that National Margarita Day is in the winter, so I started thinking about winter fruits that could be used in the margaritas… Why not kiwi? Then there was the big question: Can you juice a kiwi? Do you muddle it?
Well, I don’t know if this was the right way to do it, but I cut the kiwi in half, stuck a muddle right in the middle and twisted until it turned into puree. 2 kiwis was too much for the couple of margaritas I made, but here’s a hint: muddled/pureed kiwi is delicious in yogurt 🙂
- 2 1/2 T kiwi puree
- 3 oz tequila blanco
- 1 lime juiced
- 1/8 c simple syrup
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
- Pour over ice in a salt-rimmed glass.
