HOMEMADE SAUSAGE GRAVY

This is old fashioned southern style sausage gravy at its best.  Just a few minutes and a few ingredients are needed to have the perfect topping for your biscuits.

THE 5 INGREDIENTS Ground Sausage Flour Milk Salt Black Pepper

STEP 1

Brown sausage in a skillet, crumbling as it cooks until it is lightly brown on the edges.

STEP 2

Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain.  Let skillet cool for 2 to 3 minutes and drain off any excess grease.

STEP 3

Stir flour into milk, whisking to get out lumps. Add to skillet, stirring bottom and sides until thickened.

STEP 4

Stir in salt, pepper and sausage crumbles.  Serve over warm biscuits.
