Ingredients
  

  • cup Buttermilk
  • cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun/Creole Seasoning we recommend Tony Chachere's Original
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground if possible
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt if needed due to low-salt or no-salt Cajun seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients in bowl and stir with whisk until well blended.
  • Chill until time to serve.

Notes

  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice is best, but bottled can be substituted
  • We recommend Blue Plate or Duke's Mayonnaise
  • Salt is added only if low-salt or no-salt Cajun/Creole Seasoning is used.
  • Dressing ingredients can be placed in a jar with tightly fitting lid and shaken until well blended. 
  • A minimum of two hours chilling time before serving is recommended.
