- ⅓ cup Buttermilk
- ⅔ cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons Cajun/Creole Seasoning we recommend Tony Chachere's Original
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground if possible
- 1 clove garlic minced
- ½ teaspoon salt if needed due to low-salt or no-salt Cajun seasoning
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice is best, but bottled can be substituted
- We recommend Blue Plate or Duke's Mayonnaise
- Salt is added only if low-salt or no-salt Cajun/Creole Seasoning is used.
- Dressing ingredients can be placed in a jar with tightly fitting lid and shaken until well blended.
- A minimum of two hours chilling time before serving is recommended.
