Grate the frozen butter tossing it in the cold flour as you grate.

Stir in the cold buttermilk, just until the ingredients are blended.

Place dough on a floured surface and pat down until about 1/2 inch thick.

Fold in half and then pat down again. Repeat this step 4 times

Cut with a biscuit cutter using a straight up and down motion (do NOT twist). Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet nearly touching.

Bake at 450 degrees for 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned. Brush with melted butter.
