Creamed Corn the old fashioned southern way

Corn in its purest form needs just salt and butter

You'll need to shuck and clean it thoroughly first. Move onto the porch if possible.  This can get a bit messy.

These tools are called "corn creamers" and links for ordering can be found if you swipe up for the recipe.

Making creamed corn this way gives you natural corn starch. No other thickener is needed.

After your corn is creamed you'll cook it on the stovetop.  Be sure to stir constantly to prevent sticking.  Just season with salt and butter before serving.
