New Orleans Hurricane Drink

A hurricane cocktail is a New Orleans classic. It's sweet, tangy, and has just the right amount of rum to get your party started!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 oz orange juice
  • 2 oz light rum
  • 2 oz dark rum
  • 1.5 oz passionfruit puree
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz grenadine

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake to blend.
  • Pour over ice in 2 hurricane glasses.

Notes

The other important item you need to make a hurricane cocktail is a hurricane glass! You can find the ones we bought here.
Hurricanes are also typically garnished with a slice of orange and a bright red maraschino cherry.
