Baked tomato slices with parmesan cheese are a great healthy side dish for any meal.  What a perfect way to use those summer tomatoes from  the garden!

Besides the tomatoes you'll need: 

Olive Oil Parmesan Cheese Basil Oregano Salt & Pepper

STEP 1

Salt the tomato slices and lay them on a plate for 30 minutes. Then drain the liquid and pat dry with paper towels.

This step is 

VERY IMPORTANT

It keeps your tomatoes from being soggy!

STEP 2

Lay the tomato slices on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper and sprayed with cooking oil spray.

STEP 3

Combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle over tomato slices

STEP 4

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

STEP 5

Broil for 2-3 minutes to brown the cheese.
