Quick Pickled Green Beans

This recipe for pickled green beans is quick, easy and is made without canning.  They’re perfect in a bloody mary, on an appetizer board or as a hostess gift.

Ingredients

Green Beans Water Salt (uniodized) White Vinegar Garlic Dill (optional) Bay Leaves Peppercorns Red Pepper Flakes

Step 

Boil water, vinegar and salt until salt dissolves.  Set aside to cool while preparing beans.

Step 

Wash and trim green beans. Blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes.  Drain and plunge into ice water.

Step 

Place garlic and dill in jars. Then fill with green beans.  Add peppercorns, bay leaves and pepper flakes.

Step 

Pour vinegar solution over beans making sure to completely cover.

Step 

Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 48 hours before serving.
