This fried shrimp recipe is for shrimp with a light, but crispy coating.  It's just like what you get in your favorite southern seafood joint!

Besides the shrimp you need: Egg Milk Cornmeal Seasoning Vegetable Oil

STEP 1

Season the shrimp with about 1/2 of your seasoning of choice. It could be just salt and pepper, Cajun or Old Bay.

STEPS 2&3

Combine remaining seasoning and cornmeal.  Combine egg and milk.

STEP 4

Dip each shrimp in egg mixture and let drain a few seconds. Then coat with cornmeal.

STEP 5

Cook in hot oil 2-3 minutes or just until golden. Drain on paper towels (or newspaper).
