If using crust, line pie pan with pastry. For crustless version, grease pie dish with olive oil or cooking spray.
Whisk large eggs, heavy cream, and seasonings in a large bowl until egg mixture is well blended.
Layer chicken mixture, asparagus, and cheese in prepared pie dish.
Pour egg mixture over the layered ingredients.
Bake at 350°F for 35-50 minutes, depending on size of quiche. Check for doneness by lightly shaking pan - center should be firm.
