Professional Background & Experience
Pam has spent more than a decade celebrating the food and traditions of the South. As co-founder of Biscuits & Burlap, she develops and photographs recipes that honor the dishes many of us grew up with, while welcoming fresh ideas that make cooking feel joyful and approachable for even new cooks.
Over the years, Pam has authored and photographed over 400 recipes and food stories, blending classic flavors, modern twists, and a deep love for the memories that happen around the table.
She also shares her skills through Discovering Coastal Georgia, a regional travel site she co-founded that highlights the towns, natural beauty, food culture, and local experiences along Georgia’s 100 mile coast. Her work there is driven by the desire to give readers a sense of place and connection.
Pam has contributed to articles in Fox News, Parade, Travel + Leisure and Daily Mail, and her food photography appears on Foodgawker.
Food Philosophy
To Pam, Southern food isn’t just about what’s on the plate. It’s about who gathered in the kitchen, who passed down the recipe, and who’s sitting around the table today.
Biscuits & Burlap is guided by a few simple beliefs:
- Honor the past, because family recipes are treasures and memories are priceless
- Keep things doable, so cooking feels comfortable and fun
- Use what’s fresh and available, just like generations before us
- Bring people together, because a shared meal builds lasting connections like nothing else can do
- Welcome creativity, while holding onto the spirit of tradition
These are the values that shape every story, every recipe, and every photograph on the site.

A note from Pam
Food has always been how my family laughed together, showed love, and made memories. If I can help you revive an old recipe, start a new tradition, or simply feel more at home in your kitchen, I’m grateful to be part of that. Y’all should feel free to reach out.
