This homemade honey BBQ sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and it has an optional kick of heat for spice lovers.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 Tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce optional

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl or shake in a jar until well blended.
  • Cover and refrigerate at least 2-3 hours before serving or using on grill meats.

Notes

  • hot sauce may be omitted, halved or doubled depending on desired level of heat and spiciness
  • making 2-3 hours ahead of time to use is an important step in achieving the best flavor.
