bourbon iced tea with spiced pears in glass

This fall cocktail made with spiced pear, bourbon, and aromatic chai tea is exactly what you need for any fall gathering. We like it over ice, but it would be great hot, too!

Spiced Pear Bourbon Iced Tea- A Fall Cocktail

I have been really into pear cocktails lately and it seems like they can do no wrong. How does pear mix perfectly with every type of spirit? Who knows, but I'm here for it!

The pear bourbon combo is perfect for a fall cocktail because they both go so nicely with all those fall spices we know and love!

Speaking of fall spices, chai tea was just made for this season. Did you know chai has ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice? That's everything you need for a fall cocktail right there! Just add pear, bourbon and ice and you're in business.

If you aren't making your own simple syrups, you're really missing out. Whether you make it with fruit or herbs, a flavored simple syrup is the easiest way to infuse creative flavors into your drinks.

By making an easy pear simple syrup and using chai tea, you can take this bourbon iced tea recipe to new heights.

Another great idea is to make syrups for cocktails from fruit jams. It takes just minutes and the sky is the limit on the variety of simple syrups you'll make.

Bourbon Iced Tea?

Yeah, you heard that right... This is the South after all, so just try to tell us we can't take bourbon and sweet tea, two of our most beloved elixirs, and put them in one glass. Just try.

Speaking of the south, have you read Southern Food: Then & Now? It's all about our favorite cuisine.

One of my favorite things about this recipe is how easy it is to make for a crowd... You're going to want to make extra pear syrup anyway, so then it's up to you how much tea you want to brew and how much bourbon to pour in!

I know spiced pears are nothing new, but creating that flavor in a fall cocktail by using chai tea and pear simple syrup? I have to admit, I impressed myself.

For a completely different way to enjoy your spiced fall pears try Baked Camembert with Honey, Pears and Pecans. It's the perfect autumn appetizer!

If you're looking for something a little creamier, the Smith and Kearns Cocktail is another fall favorite drink.

I hope you enjoy this fall cocktail as much as we did!

My husband is a huge fan of bourbon and I myself have just slowly gotten into drinking it. For me, it has to be slightly sweet so this is the perfect cocktail. I'm making this over the weekend.
