Ingredient notes
Most, if not all, of these dressing ingredients are ones you'll already have on hand. They're all simple, high quality, easy to find and healthy.
- Plain Greek yogurt - I like to use a low fat version, but you could go with full fat or fat free.
- Lemon - For best results you'll want to use freshly squeezed lemon juice because the lemon zest really adds a zing of flavor. If you use bottled juice you won't have the option of adding zest.
- Garlic - Fresh garlic is always best.
- Olive Oil - I recommend always using extra virgin olive oil.
- Oregano - I use dried herbs for this easy recipe, but if you have have fresh herbs on hand that's great. Just remember it takes about 3 times as much to get the same amount of flavor from fresh.
- Red wine vinegar - If you don't have it you can substitute white wine vinegar.
- Dijon mustard - Any hearty mustard can be used instead.
