These healthy yogurt marinated chicken skewers are so easy to make in the air fryer and are perfect as an appetizer, snack, sandwich filler, or on top of a salad.
The Greek flavors in air fryer chicken skewers are out of this world... tart lemon, oregano and thyme, garlic, and tangy yogurt are the perfect Greek combination. The yogurt not only adds a fantastic flavor, but after a couple hours of marinating, it keeps your Greek chicken skewers moist and tender.

The dipping sauce
And then there's the dipping sauce. These air fryer chicken skewers are amazing on their own, but when you add the creamy feta dip to the mix, they are just to die for. Make extra to use it as a salad dressing or to dip veggies and pita chips in, too. If you're just looking for the Yogurt Sauce, we made a separate post for that recipe.
Air fryers
Now about that air fryer... Did you get one for Christmas that you're afraid to use? Thinking about getting one but not sure how much you'll use it? I am here to tell you that these brilliant little appliances have so many wonderful uses in the kitchen. This is the one I have and it's inexpensive, compact and perfect for beginners.
On the other hand, my mom has this one and it is bigger, but holds so much food all at once. It's one of the most popular ones on the market.
We're loving converting some of our old fashioned southern fried recipes into healthier versions. You'll be amazed at the crispy deliciousness in Air Fryer Okra, for example.
Air Fryer Catfish Fillets and Air Fryer Breaded Shrimp are like an old school fish fry, but without the grease! The perfect side to go with them (or serve at breakfast) are Air Fryer Home Fries - so easy!
Easy enough to make even a weeknight a special occasion we love making Air Fryer Lobster Tails, too! They turn out perfectly every single time!
In this case, we're using it like a grill and it leaves the most perfect charred edges on the chicken and lemons. After you make Greek chicken skewers, try it out making wings! I swear they'll crisp up perfectly you'll toss out the deep fryer and never look back.

Making the chicken skewers and sauce
Be sure to give your Greek chicken skewers plenty of time to marinate so the yogurt can do its thing. A couple hours will work just fine, but I always try to put mine in the marinade the night before.
The creamy feta sauce is seriously so easy... just put all the ingredients in a little food processor like this one and blend until creamy. That's it! Don't forget to make extra for other snacks since it's such a versatile dip.
What else should I have with my air fryer Greek chicken skewers?
Make a Greek salad to go on the side (or try this easy Greek Chicken Bowl), or grab some pita and make your skewers into wrap filling. These would also go great with our Mediterranean shrimp flatbread or Greek Shrimp Crostini.
For a traditional side dish that's low carb and keto try our Keto Squash Casserole. If you prefer a cold side dish you'll want to make Salad with Grapefruit. It has the perfect champagne vinaigrette to go along with it.

Air Fryer Greek Chicken Skewers Recipe with Creamy Feta Sauce
Ingredients
Greek Chicken Skewers
Creamy Feta Sauce
- 3 oz crumbled feta
- 3 Tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
- ½ lemon zested and juiced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- ½ teaspoon fresh oregano chopped
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Juice and zest one lemon. In a large bowl, combine lemon juice and zest, yogurt, garlic, olive oil, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken pieces to marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours to overnight.
- To make feta sauce, combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.
- Slice remaining lemon into small wedges (1 large lemon should yield about 16 small ½ wedges). Thread chicken and lemon wedges onto skewers, being sure the skewers will fit in your air fryer.
- Set air fryer to 350 and arrange skewers in a single layer. Cook 8 minutes. Flip, and cook another 8 minutes.
- Serve skewers with dipping sauce, squeezing cooked lemon over them as desired.

Delicious, I love Greek food to begin with but the combination of the chicken skewers with the creamy feta greek sauce was great. We like keeping the sauce on hand for dipping other things now.
Pam says
Yes! We totally agree with that.

my air fryer has different settings do you use the "air fryer" setting? "Roast"? "Bake"?
Thank you!
Sara says
Hey Deb! I'm not entirely sure since our air fryers only have temperatures on them. I would probably try "air fryer" if I were you, but I can't promise that's right!
